Goa SSC Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Desktop Publishing Operator: Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class 12) from a recognized board, NCVT certificate in Desktop Publishing Operator or Apprenticeship certificate under the Apprentices Act, 1961, 3 years of printing/publishing experience, practical knowledge of Layout, Word Processing, and Corel Draw, typing speed of 40 wpm, and knowledge of Konkani (Marathi is desirable).
- LDC / Recovery Clerk, Junior Assistant & Data Entry Operator: Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class 12) or AICTE-approved Diploma, a minimum 6-month computer course/diploma from a recognized institute, minimum typing speed of 30 wpm in English, at least 1 year of relevant working experience (exempted for PwD candidates), and knowledge of Konkani (Marathi is desirable).
Candidates with a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, or related branches are exempted from the separate 6-month computer certificate requirement.
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on the last date of application.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwD (15 years for SC/ST PwD; 13 years for OBC PwD), and relaxation for Ex-Servicemen as per government rules, subject to an absolute maximum age of 56 years.

Selection Process for Goa SSC Recruitment
- Two-Tier Computer Based Test (CBT):
- CBT-I (Screening): Common 60-mark test covering English & Comprehension (20 marks), Reasoning (20 marks), Numerical Ability (10 marks), and Konkani Language (10 marks). Candidates must score at least 4 marks out of 10 in Konkani to qualify for evaluation. There is no negative marking.
- CBT-II (Main Merit): 80-mark test covering English & Comprehension (30 marks), Reasoning (20 marks), Numerical Ability (10 marks), and Computer Proficiency (20 marks).
- Skill / Typing Test: Qualifying test of 30 wpm in English (40 wpm for Desktop Publishing Operator). Final selection is drawn strictly from marks obtained in CBT-II.
