Eligibility Criteria for RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification Candidates must hold the prescribed qualification on or before October 14, 2026 (candidates awaiting final exam results are not eligible):

• Nursing Superintendent: GNM (3 years course) from a recognized nursing school/institution OR B.Sc Nursing, registered as Nurse & Midwife.
• Pharmacist (Entry Grade): Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (Allopathic) OR Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D), and registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
• Health & Malaria Inspector Gr II: B.Sc with Chemistry as a main/optional subject, plus a 1-year Diploma in Health/Sanitary Inspector or 1-year NTC in Health Sanitary Inspector.
• Lab Assistant Gr. II: 12th (10+2) in Science plus DMLT (minimum 1-year full-time) or B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology.
• Radiographer X-Ray Technician: 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry plus a 2-year Diploma in Radiography / X-Ray Technician / Radiodiagnosis Technology (or equivalent Bachelor degree).
• ECG Technician / Optometrist / Dialysis Technician / Audiologist: Relevant Degree or Diploma in the respective discipline from a recognized university or council.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027)

• Nursing Superintendent: 20 to 40 years
• Pharmacist (Entry Grade): 20 to 35 years
• Audiologist & Speech Therapist: 21 to 30 years
• Other Posts (Dialysis Tech, H&MI, Radiographer, ECG Tech, Optometrist, Lab Asst): 18/19/20 to 33 years depending on the post.

Upper age relaxation is provided: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, up to 10–15 years for PwBD candidates, and standard deductions for Ex-Servicemen.
