Eligibility Criteria for BHEL Artisan Recruitment
Educational Qualification
As on 1st October, 2026:
- Class 10th pass.
- National Trade Certificate (NTC/ITI) in the respective trade through full-time regular study.
- National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade.
- Minimum aggregate marks required: 60% for General and OBC candidates; 55% for SC and ST candidates in both NTC/ITI and NAC.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 27 years as on 01.10.2026 for General/EWS candidates.
- Work Experience Relaxation: Up to 7 years (minimum 6 months relevant experience needed).
- Category Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), 10 years for General PWD (13 for OBC PWD, 15 for SC/ST PWD), and 5 years for J&K domiciled (1980–1989).
- Maximum age with all relaxations cannot exceed 56 years.
Other Requirements
Candidates must possess sound health as per BHEL Medical Examination Rules. Knowledge of the regional language is desirable for southern units, and Hindi for other plants.
