BPSSC has announced 65 Company Commander vacancies. The category-wise distribution is given below:

A 35% horizontal reservation for women and 2% horizontal reservation for grandchildren of freedom fighters are included as stated in the notification. Reservation benefits are available to eligible Bihar domicile candidates.

Who Can Apply?

This recruitment is specially meant for serving Bihar Home Guards. Candidates must:

1. Be an Indian citizen.
2. Be a man, woman, or third-gender Home Guard.
3. Be enrolled and trained in the Bihar Home Guard Vahini.
4. Have completed at least 5 years of service/duty.
5. Have at least 10 years of remaining service as on the relevant cut-off date.
6. Fulfil the required educational and physical standards.

BPSSC Company Commander Recruitment 2026: Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed a graduation examination from a recognised university, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the State Government, by 1 August 2026.

Age Limit

The age will be calculated as on 1 August 2026, using the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent certificate.

The notification prescribes the same 24–50 year age range for the stated categories.

Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the prescribed physical requirements.

For men, the required chest measurement is 81 cm unexpanded, and 86 cm expanded for General/BC/EBC candidates. For SC/ST men, it is 79 cm unexpanded and 84 cm expanded. Women do not have a chest measurement requirement, while women must have a minimum weight of 48 kg.

Application Fee

The application fee is ₹100 for all candidates, including men, women and third-gender candidates.

Payment can be made online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card or UPI. The fee is non-refundable after successful payment, except in the technical registration-failure situation mentioned in the Official notification.
